The department of Electrical Engineering has been playing a vital role in producing scientists and technologists of highest caliber ever since it was established in the year 2008. The department runs under graduate programme. The faculty members are engaged in research in the areas of Control and Computing, Power Electronics and Power Systems, Microelectronics and MATLAB Programming. The department is equipped with the latest experimental and computational facilities for taking up R & D and consultancy activities in various fields.

Electrical engineering is the application of the laws of physics governing electricity, magnetism, and light to develop products and services for the benefit of humankind.  This branch of Engineering covers traditional areas likes generation, distribution and transmission of electricity as well as new age applications in electronics ranging from telecommunications to computers and micro processor and the latest advances in the more traditional areas of power, control, and electromagnetism. So Electrical Engineering deals with the problems associated with large-scale electrical systems such as power transmission and motor control.

  • Electrical Engineers can get jobs in various public sector companies of Power Generation NTPC, Reliance Power, Suzlon Energy, Adani Power, NPCIL and so on.
  • Power Transmission and distribution companies such as MPEB, different state Electricity Boards, Power Grid Corporation of India etc have jobs for Electrical Engineers.
  • Electrical Equipments Manufacturing companies such as Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd., Kirloskar, AREVA Simens, Legrand, GE, Bajaj Electricals etc. provides good jobs.

  1. Engineering Knowledge: - Apply the knowledge of mathematics, and science, with fundamentals of Electrical Engineering to be able to solve complex engineering problems in EE.
  2. Problem Analysis: - Identify, formulate, review Electrical Engineering research-literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  3. Design/development of solution:- Design solutions for complex Electrical Engineering problems and design Electrical hardware, power systems and distributed generation systems and processes which meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public-health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  4. Conduct investigation of complex problem: - Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments in Electrical Engineering, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  5. Modern tool usage: - Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern Electrical hardware and software tools including prediction and modelling to Electrical Engineering related complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  6.
